An offline-first Android application for engineers working in basements, plant rooms and rural sites with no signal. Jobs, photos and parts requests queue locally and sync the moment a connection returns.

About the Project
The Field Service Mobile App replaces paper job sheets for a maintenance company whose engineers spend most of the day without signal. Each engineer sees their schedule, navigates to the next job, records work, photos and parts on site, and captures a customer signature. Everything queues on the device and flows into the existing scheduling system when connectivity returns, so nothing is re-keyed at the office.
The challenge
What the client needed
Engineers completed paper job sheets that were re-keyed at the office. Much of their work happened where there was no signal, so:
- Job details arrived at the office days late
- Every sheet was typed in twice, with errors
- Photos and signatures were lost or mismatched
- Parts requests waited until the engineer returned
- Dispatchers had no live view of progress

What we built
We built an offline-first Android application that queues work locally and synchronises when a connection returns, with job data flowing straight into the existing scheduling system.

- Live dispatch board fed by the app
